Delivered today (Sept. 13), the 12-track project denotes another section for the Northern Irish band, displaying their unmistakable blend of reflective verses and clearing tunes.
Created by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Stormzy) and the band, The Woodland Is the Way was composed by Snow Watch’s center threesome: frontman Gary Lightbody, guitarist Johnny McDaid, and guitarist Nathan Connolly. The collection’s lead single, “The Start,” offers a sample of the band’s development, with its melodic drone and strong verses: “There is just you and me in this life/And I would rather not f — it up at this point.”
