Allow us to take you back into the dim and inconvenient past of Northern Europe, a period of witches, of odd notion, of bloodlust and free for all. In November, we will proceed with the legendary tale of “Anno 1696” on our addendum-like EP “Songs of the Dusk”, highlighting 22 minutes of music and three additional excursions into a dim and hazy past.
“We essentially had eleven extraordinary songs, and we felt that this material is too great to possibly be ‘just’ extra tracks,” Niilo Sevänen states. “They are important for the real issue, so you can consider them the chief’s cut material that tells some extra. For the people who need to have more.”
Blended by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Orgone Studios) and dominated by Tony Lindgren (Interest Road Studios), “Songs of the Dusk” was initially a piece of the Ltd. Luxurious 2CD Artbook of “Anno 1696”, yet it is currently accessible independently as restricted Compact disc Digipak, LP with carving on side B and as Advanced EP.
Today denotes the arrival of the title track, “Melody of the Dusk”, that is accessible on all advanced stages.
