Dogstar’s third collection includes the recently delivered singles “Everything Pivots,” “Break,” and “Glint.”
Everyone gets lucky sometimes. Today is Dogstar day.
Keanu Reeves’ SoCal non mainstream rock act returns for Somewhere close to the Electrical cables and Palm Trees, Dogstar’s third studio collection and first since 2000’s Blissful Closure.
The Hollywood star is back on bass, close by guitarist/performer Bret Domrose and drummer Robert Mailhouse for Between the Electrical cables, delivered through the band’s own mark Dillon Road Records and dispersed through ADA.
Highlighting the recently delivered singles “Everything Pivots,” “Break” and “Flicker,” Somewhere close to the Electrical cables addresses a day not many of us figured would showed up. To be sure, when the threesome rejoined before in the year and performed at BottleRock Napa Valley live event in May, it denoted their most memorable execution as a unit in over 20 years.
During a brief yet splendid disagreement the noughts and mid 2000s, Dogstar caught a great deal of global interest, a lot of it because of Reeves’ investment.
Beginning with arrival of their 1996 four-track EP Quattro Formaggi, the triplet hit their lashes, visited the world, seized a spot at Glastonbury Celebration, opened for David Bowie, and got ready for Bon Jovi on a lap of Australia. A date in Japan in 2002 would be their last, before the bandmembers headed out in a different direction.
Presently they’re back, and they’re out and about on the side of the new LP. This week, Dogstar started off the second leg of their 35 or more city title visit, which remembers gigs for St. Louis, Columbus, Niagra, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville and somewhere else. The initially started Aug. 10 and remembered stops for Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Denver before the band set out abroad toward a three-date stretch in Japan.
Spread across 12 tracks, Somewhere close to the Electrical cables and Palm Trees will be introduced via a worldwide livestream from the elective stone demonstration’s show Tuesday, Oct. 10 at The State house Theater in Port Chester, NY.
