Brandon Lake was the top champ at the 54th yearly GMA Pigeon Grants, which circulated Friday (Oct. 20) on TBN and The TBN Application and was additionally simulcast on SiriusXM The Message. The show, facilitated by Tauren Wells, was taped on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Allen Field on the Lipscomb College grounds in Nashville.

Lake won four honors: craftsman of the year, musician of the year – craftsman, love recorded melody of the year and rap/hip jump recorded tune of the year. “I’m so thankful to be a piece of this local area,” Lake said in tolerating craftsman of the year. Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Toby Macintosh, Gift Offor and Jeff Pardo each won two honors.

Cobbs Leonard won gospel love collection of the year for Psalms (Live) and conventional gospel recorded tune of the year for “It Is Well.” “This collection is a legitimately big deal to me since I’m a PK [pastor’s kid]; I’m a congregation young lady,” she said. “One of the manners in which I learned sacred writing was through tune.”

TobyMac won pop/contemporary collection of the year for the third time with Eternal life. He previously won in the classification in 2013 with Eye on It (a No. 1 collection on the Board 200) and again in 2016 with This Isn’t a Test.

TobyMac’s acknowledgment discourse comprised one of the show’s most personal minutes. “I made this record to pay tribute to my child Truett, my firstborn who we lost,” he said. ” … I made these melodies in the hardest, coldest of valleys we actually don’t have the foggiest idea why God would request this from us, however now and again we don’t get to pose those inquiries. He didn’t guarantee us that we wouldn’t confront hard things, that we wouldn’t confront misfortune. He guaranteed He could never leave us or neglect us. Assuming you get some margin to search in the hardest most profound valleys, the coldest spots in this world, in the event that you require some investment to look, He is there. He is consistent with His promise that He won’t leave us. I have encountered that.”

TobyMac and Gift Offor shared the honor for short-structure music video of the year (execution) for “The Integrity.” Gift Offor, a Nigerian-conceived American vocalist/lyricist, won a subsequent honor, pop/contemporary recorded melody of the year for “More splendid Days.”

This denotes the third sequential year that the triumphant tune in that class has been crafted by at least four lyricists, which exhibits that songwriting by cooperatives of musicians is a pattern in strict music similarly for what it’s worth in mainstream music.

Rise Love won love collection of the year for the second time in three years with LION: Live From the Space. The band won quite a while back for Old Church Cellar, a collab with Nonconformist City Music.

Wells mixed the crowd with a lengthy discourse featuring the ongoing struggle in Israel saying, “We stand with individuals of God and as sacred writing trains us, we appeal to God for harmony in Jerusalem.”

Visitor entertainers included Jordin Sparkles singing “Love Me As am I” with for Ruler + COUNTRY; Minister Mike Jr. bringing out Ricky Dillard for “Unthinkable”; and Wells collaborating with Davies on “Take Everything Back.” Take 6 joined in execution with Ernie Haase and Mark Sound.
