Stevie Scratches has made her victorious re-visitation of Saturday Night Live.
The notorious Fleetwood Macintosh frontwoman performed on the long-running NBC sketch satire show without precedent for 41 years during the Ariana Grande-facilitated episode on Oct. 12.
Wearing her typical all-dark gathering, the 76-year-old artist musician opened with a strong presentation of her new tune “The Beacon,” which was motivated by the toppling of Roe v. Swim. With the support of a full band, Scratches conveyed the extraordinary track in the midst of a hazily hung foundation with snapping lightning impacts.
“I have my scars, you have yours/Don’t allow them to take your power,” she sang with talented limitation, with stanzas paving the way to a unique chorale that urges audience members to “see the future and lash out.”
